This stellar slot game Rome: The Golden Age offers lots of exciting features and big-win bonus prizes.
The bet sizes available in Rome: The Golden Age range from 10p to £50.
Betting in this game is fixed at 20 paylines.
The Golden Age and Rome Symbols
Every time a Golden Age symbol lands, its position will be marked with a Frame.
Golden Age symbols can randomly turn into a Rome symbol. If this happens, the Frame will transform into an Active Frame.
Positions with an Active Frame will turn into a Wild symbol at the end of that spin; adjacent positions with a Frame will also turn into a Wild symbol, as will positions next to them up to five times.
Frames and Active Frames stay on the reels until they're transformed into a Wild or Free Spins is triggered.
Wilds substitute for all symbols apart from Scatter, Golden Age and Rome symbols.
You'll be paid the longest possible winning combination on a bet line only.
Free Spins Multiplier
Points are added to the progress bar of the Free Spins Multiplier collect meter every time a Golden Age symbol appears in the main game.
The number of points added depends on the position that the symbol appears on:
- If the Golden Age symbol lands on a position without a Frame or Active Frame, one point is added
- If the Golden Age symbol lands on a position with a Frame or Active Frame, a random number of points between one and four will be added
Every time the meter reaches 200 points, the Free Spins Multiplier will upgrade progressively.
Upgrades occur in the following order: x1, x2, x3, x5, x7, x10, x12, x15, x20, x30, x40, x50, x75, x100, x200, x300, x500, x750, x1000.
The Free Spins Multiplier resets to zero after each upgrade.
If the progress bar exceeds 200 points, the Free Spins Multiplier will upgrade and the remaining points will be added to the bar once it has reset.
It's possible for the multiplier to upgrade during the main game - it will only be applied at the end of the feature though.
At the end of Free Spins, the multiplier resets to x1 - the progress bar will hold any points secured during the round that activated Free Spins.
When the Free Spins Multiplier reaches x1000 during the main game, the progress bar will become full and no more points can be added until Free Spins is triggered.
In this case, the Free Spins Multiplier will reset to x1 and the progress bar to zero at the end of Free Spins.
Three Scatters landing on reels two to four in the main game will enable Free Spins.
You'll receive a minimum of three free spins for doing so.
Before the first spin occurs, any positions with Frames and Active Frames that didn't turn into Wild symbols during the triggering round will lock and stick to the reels.
This will award you between 0.5x and 50x your bet at the end of Free Spins.
Positions that transformed into a Wild in the triggering game won't be locked.
Reel positions spin individually in Free Spins; locked positions do not spin.
Only Rome symbols may land in this bonus.
If a Rome symbol appears on an unlocked position, you'll win between 0.5x and 50x your bet and your number of free spins resets to three.
The position the Rome symbol landed on will then become locked.
Free Spins ends once all spins have been used or all positions become locked.
You'll then return to the triggering game, with all Frames and Rome symbols removed from the reels.
The Free Spins Multiplier collected in the main game will be applied to Free Spins wins at the end.
If all positions are locked, an extra x2 multiplier will be awarded on all random prizes on Rome symbols, including the Free Spins Multiplier and extra x2 Multiplier. For example: if the value of the Free Spins Multiplier is x10, the value of the final Multiplier will be x20.
All Free Spins wins will be added to payline wins.
Bets are the same value as the round that activated Free Spins.
