With May and the Final night of ESC 2024 coming closer and closer, it’s time for you to start prepping for the Eurovision party you will be hosting at home! A classic idea for the Eurovision party game is Bingo, for which you’ll need to have your Eurovision Bingo Cards ready.

Eurovision Bingo Cards

Eurovision comes with its own set of cliches and campy events that unmistakably happen year after year, so making your own Bingo cards won’t be a problem if you’re a Eurovision fan. But if you aren’t so versed in the world of ESC, below you’ll find a printable bingo sheet you can have to make your watch party more interactive.

When is the Eurovision Song Contest 2024?

You have your Eurovision 2024 Bingo cards ready, but when and where will the song contest take place this year? Mark your calendars from Tuesday, May 7th to Saturday, May 11th.

The first two semi-finals will be on Tuesday and Thursday at 20:00, just like every year before. The Grand Final, with 25 finalists performing, will be held the same week on Saturday, starting at 20:00.

Sweden is hosting the competition for the seventh time, the third time in Malmö. This year’s Eurovision will be held in Malmö Arena.

Countries are starting to choose their representatives, and Sweden is preparing to host the musical Olympics of Europe (and Australia once again!). Apparently, another non-European country, the Caribbean, will be joining the show this year, making the total number of participants 38.

The UK has chosen the representative, Olly Alexander, the singer from a popular pop band, Years & Years, and the song will be released sometime in February or March. We’re excited for what he has to bring to Malmö!

How to play Eurovision Bingo

So, how to play Eurovision Bingo? There’s nothing easier to do when watching the show! Maybe snacking is easier now that we think about it.

Nonetheless, here’s a step-by-step guide.

  1. Get your bingo cards printed out: Print out as many cards as you have the guests. Maybe a couple of extra ones will do if someone spills juice all over their sheet!
  1. Get your playing supplies: You will need to get the daubers or pens so that you and your guests can mark off the squares. You can also buy a small prize for the one who reaches the full house first.
  1. Watch the show and dab: Watch the performances and the voting. Pay attention and mark off the squares as the night unfolds.
  1. Shout Bingo: The first one to complete a line, two lines, or get the full house should yell Bingo! Scream loud so that the party can hear you over the loud show and cheering!

You can make a lot of modifications to the Eurovision bingo watch party game-play. After all, you’re the one organising it, and you hold all the (bingo) cards!

Organising a Eurovision Party at home

When you’re hosting a Eurovision party, you can make it an event of the year! There are many things you could do to make the night unforgettable.

  • Decorations: Embrace the Eurovision camp. Country flags, disco balls, glitter, sequins – there’s virtually no decoration out of place during an ESC party.
  • Atmosphere: Dim the lights and make the TV and the lightning from the disco ball or the fairy lights the only thing lighting your room. This way, you can all focus on the show unfolding with the bingo daubers in your hands.
  • Food and drinks: You can make snacks and drinks representing different countries. Another idea is to have your guests bring a dish from the country they’re rooting for this year. However, if there is a clear favourite, your palettes might get bored.
  • Entertainment: Apart from the main show, you and your guest can make it more fun with Eurovision Bingo, voting during the show itself, and much more!
  • Have fun: Sing along to your favourite songs, boo the boring ballads, and have the night of your lives!
