Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland
This 5-mile walk starts at the picturesque village of Craster and takes you along the coast for some truly stunning views. Follow the coastline and it will take you to Dunstanburgh Castle, the perfect location to enjoy a picnic with your canine companion.
Barmston Beach to Bridlington, Yorkshire
If you fancy a longer walking hike, this 7-mile option begins at the beautiful Barmston Beach and cuts a pleasant path along the East Riding of Yorkshire to end at the historic Flamborough Castle. Your dog can enjoy splashing in the sea and digging in the sand throughout this satisfying hike.
Allt yr Esgair Circular, Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales
If you’re looking for a Welsh walking adventure, this scenic 7-mile route starts at the Welsh Venison Centre and takes you through lovely villages, over gentle hills, past tranquil lakes and alongside mountain ranges. You’ll enjoy spectacular views throughout this hike and your dog will love the different varieties of terrain. Don’t forget your camera!
Hayling Billy Trail, Hampshire
If your dog is a senior pooch or finds hills and tough terrain hard to handle, a flat route such as the Hayling Billy Trail will be perfect. This 5-mile trail combines sea views with stunning countryside. The wide, flat stretch of land is ideal for dogs of all ages and fitness levels.
Cudmore Grove Country Park, Essex
The shortest wall on our list, Cudmore Grove Country Park offers 4 miles of coastline to enjoy. This is a beachfront walk so you’ll be sure of some breath-taking sea views. As Cudmore Grove Country Park is a nature reserve, it’s packed with wildlife so you and your pup will both love the sights and sounds on this invigorating walk.
Cawsand to Whitsand Bay, Cornwall
Our most southerly walk starts at the village of Cawsand in the south-east corner of Cornwall and takes you along the coast to Whitsand Bay. Your dog will love playing in the sand of the idyllic beaches along this route. This walk offers some steeper descents and climbs, so it’s ideal if you’re looking for a slightly more challenging walk. It also has some great dog-friendly pubs along the way.
