A laboratory full of excitable creatures sounds like the sort of workplace that requires several waivers. Reactoonz turns that questionable scientific arrangement into a 7x7 cluster slot from Play'n GO, complete with cascades, Wild creation and a five stage Quantum Leap meter.
We build wins with connected groups of matching symbols, then watch the grid refill as successful clusters disappear. Quantum features can transform or remove symbols, while the enormous Gargantoon eventually arrives to occupy rather more laboratory space than anyone sensibly budgeted for.
Reactoonz places us inside a bright blue laboratory populated by colourful creatures that resemble escaped experiments with unusually good morale. The grid uses a clean geometric background, allowing the pink, green, orange, blue and one eyed symbols to remain easy to distinguish during longer cascades.
Animations give each Reactoon a lively personality without turning the screen into visual soup. Winning clusters wobble and disappear, Quantum effects burst across the grid, and the Gargantoon descends from a large chamber before splitting into smaller Wild sections. The soundtrack follows the science fiction comedy mood with electronic effects and energetic cues whenever the meters charge. Reactoonz uses cluster payouts rather than conventional paylines. We need at least 5 matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically, with larger groups producing stronger potential payouts. The symbols below are arranged from the lowest to the highest value.
After a successful cluster forms, every winning symbol disappears and new symbols fall from above. Another qualifying cluster starts a new cascade, and the sequence continues until no further wins remain.
Every winning symbol also contributes toward the Quantum Leap meter. That connection gives even modest clusters a second job, because they move the game closer to queued Quantum effects.
The Quantum Leap system contains five charge stages. Every 25 winning symbols fill one stage and add a random Quantum feature to the queue.
Up to 4 regular Quantum effects can wait in line. Charging the fifth stage adds the Gargantoon instead. Once the current cascade sequence stops, the queued features activate in order and may create new wins. Those additional wins can continue charging the meter, so one game round can develop well beyond the first cluster.
Implosion transforms between 3 and 6 regular symbols into Wilds. The feature also removes every symbol directly beside each transformed position.
New symbols then fall into the cleared spaces. The combination of Wild creation and surrounding destruction can restart the cascade sequence, particularly when the chosen locations sit close to matching groups.
Incision places a Wild in the centre of the grid and creates two intersecting diagonal lines. Every position on those lines changes into the same randomly chosen Reactoon.
The resulting cross can build several connected groups at once. Since both diagonals meet at the central Wild, the transformed symbols gain a useful substitute at the point where the lines intersect.
Demolition selects one of the one eyed Reactoon types and removes every matching symbol from the grid. All symbols of the chosen type disappear together, whether they form part of an existing cluster or not.
The remaining symbols drop into the empty spaces, potentially connecting groups that were previously separated. Demolition doesn’t create Wilds directly, but the large scale removal can rearrange a stubborn grid rather efficiently.
Alteration chooses one one eyed symbol type and changes every matching symbol into another Reactoon. When no one eyed symbols remain, the feature can select another available symbol instead.
A useful transformation can create a large cluster immediately or bring several smaller groups together. Naturally, the laboratory makes the final selection, because apparently scientific progress has no interest in our preferences.
Four matching normal symbols positioned as a 2x2 square automatically merge into a Giantoon. The larger symbol still counts as the original Reactoon type.
Whenever a Giantoon contributes to a potential cluster, the payout for that cluster is doubled. More than one Giantoon can participate in the same group, although the cluster receives one doubled calculation rather than a separate multiplier for each large symbol.
At the start of each spin, one one eyed Reactoon becomes the Fluctuating symbol. When one or more marked symbols form part of a successful cluster, two Wilds remain on the grid after the winning symbols disappear.
Those Wilds can support the next cascade and aren’t removed by later Quantum effects. Fluctuation gives the smaller symbols more purpose than their lower paytable values initially suggest.
Filling all five Quantum Leap stages places the Gargantoon feature in the queue. A 3x3 Gargantoon Wild first appears on the grid and substitutes for every regular symbol.
After the following cascade ends, the large Wild divides into two 2x2 Wilds and moves to new positions. Another completed cascade separates those sections into nine single Wilds. Fresh symbols enter before each movement, giving every form of the Gargantoon another chance to connect with the surrounding Reactoonz.
An initial spin without a win can randomly activate Instability. The Gargantoon then drops between 4 and 8 individual Wilds onto the grid.
Unlike the full Gargantoon sequence, Instability doesn’t begin with the 3x3 version. The random Wild placement creates another chance for a cluster before the round ends.
Reactoonz uses a 7x7 grid and cluster pays rather than fixed paylines. We create a potential win by connecting at least 5 matching symbols horizontally or vertically. Diagonal contact alone doesn’t join a cluster.
Winning symbols disappear, and fresh symbols fall down to replace them. Quantum Leap charges throughout the entire round, including wins created after queued features activate.
