Based on the Greek god Zeus, the Gates of Olympus slot is set inside of an ancient Colosseum, with lit torches appearing on either side of the board. Zeus himself can also be seen on the left while a purple nighttime sky fills the rest of the available space. Adventurous music plays at all times and traditional sound effects can also trigger when certain outcomes happen on the board.  

Gates of Olympus features 6 reels, 5 rows, and a 'Scatter Pays' mechanic. This means that there are no fixed paylines and symbols can appear in any position on the board in order for their corresponding potential winnings to be awarded. There are two different bonus features in Gates of Olympus, both of which revolve around the multiplier symbols.  

Multipliers  

When a multiplier symbol lands, it's applied to any potential winnings that are collected throughout the spin. The multiplier is applied at the end of the tumble sequence and if there is more than one multiplier icon on the board, their values are added together before being applied. During the base game, this multiplier will be reset between each spin.  

Free Spins  

Landing four or more scatter icons will trigger the main bonus mode in Gates of Olympus, awarding players with 15 free spins. Throughout this round, the multiplier is persistent and will not reset between spins, however, it's only applied when it's increased.  

This means that if a combination is formed without another multiplier appearing during the same spin, the current multiplier will not be applied. Landing three scatter icons simultaneously during this bonus mode will also award an extra five spins, with no upper limit on how many times this can be done.
