Civilisation has collapsed, but toilet paper remains valuable, so at least one modern tradition has survived. xWays Hoarder xSplit from Nolimit City takes us into a nuclear wasteland with a 5x3 grid, 243 starting ways and a cast of determined scavengers. xWays symbols increase symbol counts, while xSplit Wilds divide icons and reshape potential combinations. Bunker Raid Spins then add sticky xWays, symbol removals and an evolving Wasteland stage.
Our reels stand between fallout shelters beneath a hazy sky, with warning signs and damaged machinery completing the nuclear winter setting. Toilet rolls, fuel cans, medical kits, moonshine and Geiger counters make up the survival supplies, because society may crumble but sensible packing still matters.
Five unusual characters occupy the premium symbols. Gordon Geiger wears a protective suit, Dr Dwayne carries his respirator, Karen maintains impressive hair standards, and the remaining hoarders look equally prepared to argue over the final tin of beans. Muted greens, browns and orange tones reinforce the worn out environment. During the base game, a rockabilly track plays through a crackling radio effect. xWays reveals, symbol splits and sticky collections add sharper animations once the machinery starts behaving badly.
Our lower paying symbols consist of essential wasteland supplies, beginning with toilet paper and moonshine. Character portraits occupy the upper half, with Gordon Geiger producing the largest regular potential payout.
During regular spins, xWays symbols can appear across the three middle reels. Each reveal produces a regular paying symbol with a counted size of two, three or four.
Several xWays symbols display the same icon, creating stronger potential combinations when matching symbols connect across consecutive reels. If an xSplit reaches an xWays position, the displayed value doubles for each split.
The three rightmost reels can contain increasing numbers of xSplit Wilds. One may appear on reel 3, two on reel 4 and three on reel 5.
Every xSplit divides the symbols to its left. A regular symbol then counts twice, while repeated divisions create larger displayed values. xWays symbols also receive doubled counts, and previously converted Wilds can undergo further splitting.
Three or four Scatters activate seven or ten Bunker Raid Spins respectively. Any Super Scatters created during the triggering result become sticky xWays positions together with every space beneath them.
New xWays symbols landing during the round also remain sticky and add one spin. Among online slots with persistent collections, this structure gives each new reveal a clear role in both extending and developing the feature.
Fresh xWays symbols fall towards the lowest existing xWays position and merge with sticky symbols already present. Their collected total determines our current Hoarder level.
Every three collected xWays symbols raise the level. Each upgrade removes the lowest remaining object symbol and character symbol from the grid, narrowing the available paytable for later spins.
Reaching Hoarder level 4 changes the round into Wasteland Free Spins. Only Dr Dwayne, Gordon Geiger, the First Aid Kit and Geiger Counter remain as regular symbols.
Nine xWays positions in the centre combine into a single large symbol. Each position receives a count between 2x and 4x for every remaining spin, and those values multiply together when the mega symbol contributes to a potential combination.
A five reel, three row grid begins each spin with 243 ways to form potential wins. Matching symbols must appear across adjacent reels from left to right, beginning with reel 1, though their vertical positions don’t need to match.
xWays symbols increase the effective number of symbols occupying a reel, while xSplit Wilds double icon counts on positions to their left. Those interactions can raise the available ways considerably beyond the starting total. Across online casinos, the mechanical distinction comes from how splitting and symbol removal work together. Bunker Raid Spins gradually reduce the symbol pool while sticky xWays build towards the final Wasteland configuration.
A few Nolimit City releases share the same appetite for strange worlds and mechanics that refuse to sit quietly.
Our view is that xWays Hoarder xSplit turns a bleak future into a surprisingly coherent symbol system. xSplit Wilds work particularly well because each division can strengthen regular symbols, xWays values and converted Wilds at once. The Hoarder levels also give Bunker Raid Spins a visible objective beyond simply waiting for the next useful drop.
The rules demand patience. Sticky xWays, merging positions, symbol removals and the Wasteland stage can sound like four separate meetings before we see them working together. Once the sequence becomes familiar, however, the progression makes sense. Nolimit City’s grim humour won’t suit every taste, but the setting supports the mechanics rather than merely decorating them. Toilet paper has rarely carried this much narrative responsibility.
