Twin Spin is a five-reel NetEnt slot built almost entirely around one idea: two or more neighbouring reels can display the same symbols during a spin.

Every round begins with at least two adjacent reels linked together. These Twin Reels contain identical symbols in the same positions. The linked area may remain at two reels or extend across three, four or all five reels before the result settles.

The game uses three rows and 243 ways to win rather than traditional paylines. A winning combination forms when matching symbols appear on at least three consecutive reels, beginning on the leftmost reel. Their vertical positions do not need to match.

Two linked reels do not guarantee a win because standard combinations still require at least three consecutive reels.

Twin Spin uses familiar symbols from traditional casino machines.

The 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace occupy the lower side of the paytable. Cherries, bells, BARs and red 7s sit above the card symbols, while the Diamond is the highest regular symbol.

Matching symbols produce different numbers of winning ways depending on how many copies appear on each qualifying reel.

For example, two matching symbols on reel one, two on reel two and one on reel three create four separate ways:

How the Twin Reel Feature Works

Twin Reels appear during every spin.

At least two adjacent reels are selected and synchronised. Those reels display the same symbols in the same positions across all three rows.

The linked section may then expand:

• Two linked reels can become three
• Three may become four
• Four may extend across all five reels

The reels must remain next to one another. The game does not create two unrelated linked sections in different areas of the grid.

A wider Twin Reel section can place more copies of the same symbols across consecutive reels. That may create additional winning ways, but the outcome still depends on which symbols appear.

The feature does not carry into the next paid round. Every new spin starts with a fresh Twin Reel selection.

Twin Spin Wild Symbol

The Wild can appear on reels two, three, four and five.

It replaces regular paying symbols when that substitution helps form or extend a qualifying combination. It cannot begin a standard win from reel one because the Wild does not appear there.

Wilds may also form part of a synchronised Twin Reel section. When that happens, identical Wild positions can appear across several neighbouring reels.

The original Twin Spin keeps its structure simple. It uses five reels, three rows, 243 ways to win and no Free Spins round.
