Bounty Raid Slot Game Review

The frontier apparently still has room for one more outlaw chase, though Bounty Raid at least puts a female bounty hunter at the centre of the trouble. Red Tiger keeps the setup fairly compact, combining a Wild West theme with 10 paylines and a respin feature built around collecting bandit values. Gold Coins can improve those potential prizes, while the Sheriff can gather them together. There’s no Wild symbol here, so the bounty hunt has to manage without that particular safety net.

Theme & Graphic

Bounty Raid takes the reels into the wild west, with a skull themed border frame, weapons and lots of sunshine-drenched landscapes, so much so that you could guess that the nearest air conditioner is located several states away. The heroine of this game is a female bounty hunter that will appear as the character that activates the bonus respins feature, while the ordinary symbols include items typical of a Western setting like saddles, cowboy hats, boots and crossed pistols.

The background features an ongoing chase scene instead of a static saloon scene, which means that there is a lot of action in this online slot compared to other Western themed games. The developer has added a cowboy soundtrack which fits well the atmosphere without being overwhelming. Graphically, this game is bright and well designed with easily recognizable symbols and portraits of bandits.

Payout Table

The lower part of the paytable consists of four metal framed card suits, followed by boots, a cowboy hat, a saddle and crossed pistols. A chest filled with gold coins sits at the top of the regular symbol hierarchy.

  • Bounty Hunter: The female bounty hunter appears as a 1x2 symbol on reel 3. The symbol doesn't pay directly, but can trigger the Bounty Hunter Respins when bandits are also visible.
  • Bandits: Five different bandit characters can appear during the feature with bounty multipliers reaching x3, x10, x20, x35 or x50 depending on the character.
  • Gold Coin: Gold Coins can appear during respins and increase the values attached to the visible bandits.
  • Sheriff: The Sheriff can land away from the middle reel during the feature and combines the visible bandit values into a single collected amount.

Bonus Features

Bounty Hunter Respins

The main feature begins when the Bounty Hunter symbol lands on reel 3 with one or more bandits already visible. Those bandits remain locked while the other available positions respin.

Landing another bandit or a Gold Coin keeps the sequence going with another respin. Each bandit carries a bounty value, with the five characters corresponding to potential multipliers ranging from x3 to x50. Once a respin produces no new qualifying symbol, the collected bandit values determine the resulting potential payout.

Gold Coin Boost

Gold Coins provide a way of increasing the value of the current raid. Whenever one appears during the respin sequence, the Coin raises the values attached to the bandits already on screen.

That makes later Coins more relevant when several bandits have accumulated, since the feature has more bounty values available to improve before the sequence ends.

Sheriff Collection

The Sheriff can appear during Bounty Hunter Respins on any reel except reel 3. Rather than adding another separate bounty, the Sheriff rounds up the bandits by combining their displayed values.

The mechanic gives the feature another route towards a potential payout without adding much extra complexity. Quite fitting for a lawman, really. Someone eventually had to organise all those wanted posters.

Spin Mechanics

Bounty Raid uses 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 fixed paylines. Regular combinations need at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels, beginning with reel 1 and continuing from left to right.

There are no cascading symbols, expanding reels or alternative win systems to complicate the base game. The main mechanical change arrives when the Bounty Hunter Respins begin, temporarily replacing ordinary reel action with locked bandits and repeated respins. Compared with many feature heavy titles found across online casinos, the underlying structure is notably direct, with most of the variation concentrated inside that single bonus sequence.

Similar Slots

Dusty frontier settings and outlaw hunting narrow the comparison field rather nicely, so these three online slot games sit closer to Bounty Raid thematically than a random mechanical match would.

  • Le Cowboy: Another Western themed slot centred on gunslingers, frontier humour and criminal activity, although the feature structure is considerably busier.
  • Dead or Alive: Saloon imagery, outlaws and a classic Wild West setting make this one an obvious thematic neighbour, with bonus rounds taking a much larger role.
  • Wild West Gold Blazing Bounty: The wild Wild West and gunfighters keep the focus firmly on frontier crime, making the atmosphere a close fit even though the mechanics differ.

Heart Bingo’s Opinion

Our first impression is that Bounty Raid gets the Western atmosphere right more convincingly than the mechanical side. The chase scene, bounty posters and slightly exaggerated characters give the game enough personality to avoid looking like somebody simply emptied a cowboy costume box onto the reels.

The respin feature is easy to follow, and watching Bandit values improve through Gold Coins gives the sequence a decent focal point. Still, there isn't much beyond that one idea. Once the Sheriff has rounded everyone up a few times, the frontier starts looking rather small. We’d have liked a second feature tied to the bounty hunter herself, perhaps something that changed the base game between raids. As things stand, Bounty Raid suits players who prefer straightforward Western slots without an enormous list of mechanics.
