Set in a dark liar, the Monsters Unchained slot focuses on three mythical creatures, all of which come with their own associated ability. Gated doors can be seen on either side of the board itself and animated water is visible at the bottom of the screen. The music is slow-paced and comes with eery undertones, while enchanting sound effects trigger whenever a matching combination appears.
When Monsters Unchained loads, players are greeted with an immersive cutscene before being taken to the 5 x 3 board. There are 243 paylines active for most of the base game, as shown at the top of the screen, while the minimum stake size sits at 0.20 per spin.
Monsters Unchained was created by Red Tiger Gaming, a provider that is always looking for new and innovative mechanics to add to its range of online casino games. A few examples of their finest releases include Gem Inferno Megaways, Wrigley’s World, and Dynamite Riches Megaways!

There are plenty of special symbols to look out for in Monsters Unchained, too, the first of which are wild emerald symbols. These can replace any standard or premium symbol as part of a combination. Next up is the bonus scatter, shown as the word 'Monster Spins'. There are three other scatter icons too, displayed as blue, green, and red hammers.
The first thing to mention about the Monsters Unchained is that each round is played in a series of 10 spins. During the first 9 spins, players can accumulate scatter icons to unlock different modifiers that will be active during the 10th spin.
Players can see three meters on the left of the screen, each linked to a different monster. These are red, green, and blue in colour, representing a Minotaur, Medusa, and a Cerberus, respectively. Whenever the corresponding scatter icon lands, one bar of progress will be added to the monster's meter, each of which contains 3 steps.
The following modifiers will trigger for the tenth spin, should at least 1 step of the corresponding meter be filled:
Minotaur - This will expand the board for the 10th spin to a 5x4, 5x5, or 6x5 format, resulting in 1,024, 3,125, or 15,625 active paylines.
Medusa - Next up is the Medusa modifier that will add 2-3, 4-5, or 6-7 wilds to the reels. Keep in mind that these wilds cannot appear on reel 1.
Cerberus - The Cerberus modifier will add a win multiplier of 2x-3x, 4x-5x, or 6x-7x, which will be applied to any matching combinations that appear during the tenth spice.
Landing three scatter icons simultaneously will trigger the free spins bonus mode in Monsters Unchained, awarding ten free spins. Should any of the hammer scatter icons land during this mode, the associated modifier will become active for the duration of the round. If all three steps of a monster's meter are filled, players will also be awarded with three more spins.
