Wild Flower Slot Game Review

Wild Flower by Big Time Gaming mixes frozen forests, wolves, witches and The Cult into something considerably stranger than the average winter scene. The six-reel game uses 4,096 ways to win, full-reel Wilds and two selectable free-spin routes, with enhanced versions available through the Red Moon Megascatter. It’s essentially a fairy tale after somebody handed the soundtrack department an electric guitar and told them subtlety was optional.

Theme & Graphic

Wild Flower takes place beneath an enormous moon in a snowy forest trapped by an eternal frost. Wolves, mystical symbols and a red-clad woman supply the darker fairy-tale imagery, while flowers gradually work their way into the feature design as the frozen setting begins to thaw. The contrast between icy blues, fiery reds and the changing background gives the game more visual identity than its fairly conventional reel structure might suggest.

The Cult provides the musical component, giving the action a rock soundtrack that fits Big Time Gaming’s fondness for music-driven releases. Among similarly styled games found across online casinos, Wild Flower is difficult to mistake for anything else. Snow-covered woodland, occult-looking symbols and hard rock shouldn’t necessarily belong together, yet the combination somehow avoids looking like three themes arguing over the same screen.

Payout Table

The paytable contains six card ranks and four premium symbols. The wolf sits at the top, followed by the woman, paw emblem and pentagram. Potential payouts increase according to how many matching symbols appear consecutively from the leftmost reel.

Symbol 2 Symbols 3 Symbols 4 Symbols 5 Symbols 6 Symbols
Wolf 0.30x 1x 2.50x 5x 10x
Woman 0.40x 0.70x 2.50x 5x
Paw 0.30x 0.60x 1.50x 2.50x
Pentagram
  • Wild Ice: A full-reel Wild appearing on reels 2 to 5 and substituting for regular paying symbols.
  • Wild Flower: Another full-reel Wild on reels 2 to 5. Each one involved in a potential winning combination applies an x8 multiplier, with several Flower Wild multipliers multiplying together.
  • Yellow Moon Scatter: One of the two Scatter types used to activate free spins.
  • Red Moon Megascatter: Appears only on reel 6. If it forms part of the triggering Scatter combination, an enhanced version of the selected free-spin feature becomes available.

Bonus Features

The Most Beautiful Thing Free Spins

This route starts with 7 free spins. Before the round begins, one of the six card-rank symbols is selected as the Sticky Wild symbol. Whenever that symbol lands on reels 2 through 5, it changes into a Wild and remains locked in that position.

Filling all four positions of one reel with Sticky Wilds awards three additional free spins. The mechanic therefore develops gradually, with later spins potentially benefiting from Wild positions established earlier in the round.

Heart Beats Faster Free Spins

Heart Beats Faster starts with 12 free spins and puts much more emphasis on multipliers. A Ladder Wild may appear during the feature and activate a multiplier from the ladder, with displayed values reaching as high as x80.

Three or more Scatters landing during the feature retrigger the round. Unlike the sticky alternative, this mode is less concerned with permanently occupying positions and more focused on the possibility of larger multiplier-assisted potential wins.

Enhanced Free Spins

The Red Moon Megascatter can appear only on reel 6. When it forms part of a triggering combination of three or more mixed Scatters, the selected bonus is played in its enhanced form.

The enhanced version of the sticky-Wild feature can strengthen positions when additional Sticky Wilds land over existing ones. The upgraded multiplier route goes considerably further with its multiplier progression, creating the more aggressive version of the two bonus structures.

Spin Mechanics

Wild Flower uses six reels and four fixed rows, creating 4,096 ways to win. Matching symbols need to appear on consecutive reels beginning with the leftmost reel, so fixed paylines are not used.

The two full-reel Wild types appear only across reels 2 to 5. Wild Ice handles straightforward substitution, while Wild Flower adds an x8 multiplier whenever it substitutes in a potential winning combination. Multiple Flower Wilds can therefore have a much greater effect because their multipliers multiply rather than simply being added.

For players familiar with music-focused online slots, the structure should feel recognisably Big Time Gaming: the base arrangement stays relatively simple while much of the mechanical escalation is concentrated inside the bonus rounds.

Similar Slots

Wild Flower belongs quite clearly to Big Time Gaming’s rock-music branch, so the closest thematic comparisons are other games where the soundtrack and attitude are as important as what is happening on the reels.

  • Lil’ Devil: The closest match we could find, not least because it also uses music from The Cult and mixes a darker visual identity with two selectable bonus routes.
  • Danger! High Voltage: A slot that pairs Electric Six with a similarly bold music-video atmosphere and full-reel multiplier Wilds.
  • The Final Countdown: This Big Time Gaming title swaps The Cult for Europe but keeps the same general idea of building a slot around a recognisable rock track and oversized bonus mechanics.

Heart Bingo’s Opinion

Wild Flower works best when viewed as Big Time Gaming remixing one of its favourite formulas rather than pretending it has invented a new species of slot. The resemblance to Lil’ Devil and Danger! High Voltage is impossible to miss, but the snowy fairy-tale setting and The Cult soundtrack give this one a personality of its own.

The choice between the two bonus styles is also useful. One steadily builds Sticky Wild positions, while the other aims for multiplier escalation, so they don’t feel like the same feature wearing different hats. The Megascatter then gives those rounds another gear without making the base mechanics needlessly complicated.

Our main reservation is that anyone hoping for something radically different from Big Time Gaming’s earlier music slots probably won’t find it here. Still, the combination of frozen folklore, rock music and increasingly ridiculous multiplier potential has enough character to keep Wild Flower from feeling like a straight rerun.
