Lightning Storm Live is a wheel-based live game show from Evolution, set inside a laboratory filled with electrical machinery, glowing displays and oversized experiments.

A presenter spins the 39-segment DigiWheel during the main game. Depending on where the wheel stops, the result may produce an instant payout or open one of five bonus games: Hot Spot, Monster Mash, Battery Charger, Fireball or Lightning Storm.

Evolution launched the game in July 2024 after first presenting it at ICE London earlier that year. Although the studio and bonus rounds borrow ideas from slots and television game shows, Lightning Storm remains a live wheel game. Players bet on wheel positions before the host starts each round.

The DigiWheel contains 39 sections. Twenty carry the numbers 1 to 20, while the other 19 display Evolution’s Leaf symbol.

Before the wheel spins, the game assigns 20 bonus symbols to the numbered sections. These symbols connect to Hot Spot, Monster Mash, Battery Charger, Fireball and Lightning Storm.

Some numbered sections also receive an initial multiplier between 2x and 50x. When the wheel stops on one of those sections, the initial value multiplies the result earned in the bonus game.

To join a round:

1. Open Lightning Storm at Heart Bingo.
2. Choose your chip value.
3. Place a bet on one or more available positions.
4. Confirm that the total stake fits the limit set for the session.
5. Wait for the host to close betting and spin the DigiWheel.
6. Watch the result or qualifying bonus game play out.

Backing a numbered section only qualifies for the bonus assigned to that number if the wheel lands there. Watching a bonus take place does not mean every player has a bet in it. Only customers who covered the relevant result can receive its multiplier.

Lightning Storm does not use paying symbols in the same way as an online slot. Bets relate to sections of the DigiWheel and to the two Chaser options available before the spin.

Number Bets

You can place a chip on an individual number from 1 to 20.

Each numbered section receives one of the five bonus symbols before the wheel spins. When the wheel lands on a number you backed, the game opens the bonus assigned to it.

An initial multiplier may also appear on that numbered section. If it does, the value multiplies the bonus result.

Leaf Bet

The Leaf bet covers the Evolution logo sections around the wheel.

A Leaf result produces an instant payout rather than opening one of the five bonus games. Check the current game rules for the payout attached to this selection.

Storm Chaser

Storm Chaser automatically places a chip on the numbered section carrying the Lightning Storm bonus symbol.

This does not change where the wheel will land. It means that you have covered the relevant number if the wheel stops on the section assigned the Lightning Storm feature.

X Chaser

X Chaser automatically covers the numbered sections that have received both a bonus symbol and an initial multiplier.

The number of covered positions can change between rounds. Check the total stake displayed before confirming the bet, because a Chaser selection can cost more than one individual number bet.

Evolution built five separate bonus games into Lightning Storm. Each one produces a multiplier in a different way.

Any initial multiplier attached to the qualifying wheel section can increase the values used inside the bonus.

Hot Spot

Hot Spot uses a wall made up of 108 concealed multiplier tiles.

Choose one tile before the game reveals and shuffles the values. A moving 3x3 area then travels across the wall and doubles every multiplier beneath it when it stops.

When the 3x3 area covers your original selection, the chosen value doubles too. Hot Spot has a bonus multiplier cap of 10,000x.

Monster Mash

Monster Mash takes place inside the game’s laboratory.

Three horizontal reels build a creature using a head, torso and pair of legs. Each body part carries either a Regular or Global multiplier.

Regular values add together. Global multipliers multiply the other values that appear on the completed monster. This difference matters because three numbers that look similar can produce very different totals depending on whether they add or multiply.

Monster Mash has a maximum bonus multiplier of 10,000x.

Battery Charger

Battery Charger starts with ten batteries moving along a conveyor belt.

Nine hold Regular multipliers. The remaining battery contains a Global multiplier that can double the values still waiting on the belt.

A small wheel determines what happens as each battery reaches the charger. Red causes the battery to explode. Green can award its Regular value or activate the Global multiplier.

The feature stops when the wheel awards a Regular multiplier or when only one battery remains.

Fireball

Fireball uses a physical ball and a floor containing 149 multiplier pockets.

When the ball lands in a Regular pocket, that value becomes the result and the round ends.

Landing in a Double pocket doubles every Regular value on the board before the host launches the ball again. This can happen more than once, with values increasing until they reach the 10,000x feature cap.

Lightning Storm

The title bonus takes place on a rooftop beside a large multiplier billboard.

The board contains eight Regular values and three Global multipliers. Three lightning strikes take place, and you select one before the sequence begins.

A strike can stop on one or several Regular values. The game adds those values together and may then apply a Global multiplier.

The Lightning Storm feature has the game’s highest bonus multiplier cap at 20,000x. An initial multiplier from the DigiWheel can also alter the Regular values before the feature starts.
