You can cover the winning number in Lightning Roulette and still miss its Lightning award. The difference is where your chip was placed: only a straight-up bet on that number qualifies. Evolution’s game, available in our live casino at Heart Bingo, puts randomly selected payouts around a familiar single-zero roulette wheel.

A presenter introduces the Lightning selection in a black-and-gold studio. The thirty-seven-pocket wheel includes a single green zero, with the usual inside and outside bets available.

What changes is the return on a single number. Without a Lightning award, a winning straight-up bet pays 29:1, below the 35:1 found on conventional European roulette. On a winning Lucky Number, the displayed award can instead return between 50 and 500 times that number’s stake.

Search the Heart Bingo live lobby for Lightning Roulette and read the full name on the tile before opening it. XXXtreme can look similar at first glance, but you would need a different paytable for that release.

You must be 18 or over, with registration and the necessary account checks completed. Before depositing, work out an amount you can afford to lose and leave the money needed for bills and essentials out of that calculation.

When the table is accepting bets:

1. Read the limits shown inside the table.
2. Choose a denomination from the chip display.
3. Tap the number or labelled area that you want the chip to cover.
4. Look at the combined amount committed to this round.
5. Check that your selections have been accepted before the countdown ends.
6. Watch the Lucky Numbers appear and the wheel produce its result.

Use the on-screen timer rather than relying on a fixed betting time quoted in a review. Once betting closes, you cannot add a chip to a number just because it has received a Lightning award.

Start with the position of the chip when reading a bet. Directly on 17 means 17 alone; on a boundary beside it, that chip can cover a group instead. The numbers available run from zero through to 36.

For a broader selection, look around the edges of the grid, where the labelled boxes let you choose colours, ranges, dozens, columns, Odd or Even. None of those outside wagers qualifies for the Lightning payout, even when it includes a highlighted number.

Inside Bets

A split goes on the boundary shared by two numbers. Streets cover a row, corners join four numbers and lines cover two rows. Follow the highlighted grid positions when placing them, as the wheel uses a different number order.

Outside Bets

The dozens cover 1–12, 13–24 and 25–36. Columns follow the three columns of the grid.

Zero is outside all those groups. It does not qualify for Even, Red, Black or the low range, despite sitting alongside the other numbers on the table.

The ratios in these tables describe profit. A successful stake comes back as well, which is why a £1 win at 2:1 returns £3 altogether.

The Lucky Numbers selection takes place after bets have closed. The selection can pick as few as one number or as many as five, with the assigned awards appearing both on the betting grid and behind the presenter.

Read those highlights afresh each round. Seeing 100x on 17 a moment ago does not leave 100x attached to it when the next game starts.

Lucky Numbers and Lightning Awards

Look at your chip first, then the award, then the wheel result. You need a straight-up selection, a Lucky Payout assigned to that selection’s number, and the ball to finish there. Missing any part of that combination means there is no Lightning return. Equally, a winning number with no Lightning award settles its straight-up chips at the ordinary 29:1 rate.

The displayed 50x–500x figure is the total return on the successful number stake. It is not multiplied by the ordinary 29:1 payout, and it is not applied to everything you spent on that round.

A Worked Lightning Payout Example

Suppose you have £1 directly on 17. It receives a 100x award and the ball lands on 17. You receive £100 back from that selection, with the original pound already included.

Take away the Lightning award and a winning 17 gives a different calculation. At 29:1, your pound earns £29 and comes back itself as well, making £30.

Alongside that chip, let us put another pound on the boundary between 17 and 20. With 17 as the result, that split returns £18 under its normal 17:1 rule. Even with 100x showing on 17, the split does not receive £100.

Any other losing selections must still be deducted when assessing the whole round. A headline return on one chip is not the same as the profit after every bet has settled.

Neighbour Bets and the Racetrack

On the oval racetrack, you see the pockets as they sit around the wheel rather than in numerical rows. A Neighbour Bet places straight-up chips on your chosen number and nearby pockets, with the available controls determining how many neighbours are included.

Each of those chips is a separate number wager. A winning Lucky Number can therefore qualify for Lightning when it has its own straight-up chip, but that award applies only to the amount on that pocket.

Named sector bets need more attention. Tiers du Cylindre and Voisins du Zero place combinations such as splits, streets and corners. Orphelins and Jeu Zero include a mixture of positions.

The name of a sector does not decide Lightning eligibility; the individual chips do. Trace where they have landed on the grid, as a split covering the winning number still settles as a split.

There are two RTP figures in the published rules. For a straight-up wager the theoretical return is 97.10%, leaving a 2.90% house edge. For the other standard positions it is 97.30%, with the remaining 2.70% representing the edge.

The straight-up figure already accounts for the random Lightning awards. It is not calculated from the reduced 29:1 payout alone.

RTP is a long-run mathematical measure, rather than a forecast for the money you have deposited. A session can finish far above or below that percentage.

Results shown in the history panel describe previous rounds. They cannot tell you which pocket will win next or which number will receive the next 500x award.

Check Bet Limits for the positions you plan to use and review the total before betting closes. Several small chips can add up to more than you intended to spend.

Where Repeat or Favourite Bets are available, they help place an earlier combination again. Review its amount before accepting it; a saved arrangement does not take account of what you have already spent this session.
