Money Plane Slot Game Review

Money Plane by Relax Gaming is not especially interested in behaving like a normal slot. There are no reels, paylines or symbol combinations; instead, a small aircraft launches from a train and ricochets through a course packed with multiplier nodes, bombs and power-ups. Five selectable flight modes change the potential reward ceiling, while successful landings determine whether the collected value survives the journey. Calling it unconventional feels almost redundant when the main strategy is essentially hoping the pilot remembers where the train is.

Theme & Graphic

Money Plane borrows heavily from Relax Gaming’s Money Train universe, using each of its five modes to revisit a different version of the series’ world. Lower levels begin with the familiar Western aesthetic before the scenery moves through steampunk machinery, futuristic environments and eventually an off-world mining setting. Trains remain present as departure and landing points, but the small aircraft naturally spends most of the time stealing the camera.

Animations are deliberately arcade-like. The plane bounces through obstacles rather than following a smooth flight path, while crashes are suitably abrupt and successful landings finish the run neatly. Compared with most online slots, the presentation feels closer to a compact physics game than a reel-based casino title.

Payout Table

Money Plane does not use a conventional paytable because there are no paying symbols or paylines. Potential returns instead come from the objects the aircraft encounters during each flight.

Object / Level Effect or Potential Win
Number Node Adds 1x to 10x to the plane's collected multiplier value
Multiplier Node Multiplies the current collected value by x2 to x10
Bomb Halves the current collected multiplier value
Level 1 Potential win up to 250x
Level 2 Potential win up to 500x
Level 3 Potential win up to 1,000x
Level 4 Potential win up to 5,000x
Level 5 Potential win up to 10,000x

The plane begins each run at 1x. Number Nodes increase the collected value directly, while X Nodes multiply it. A run only awards its final potential value if the aircraft successfully reaches the train at the end of the course; a crash ends the attempt without that collected reward.

Bonus Features

Charger

Money Plane uses a Charger system to control when its power-ups activate. Once a power-up has been collected, the Charger becomes active. Every subsequent object struck by the aircraft adds one charge, and four hits fill the Charger.

When the meter reaches capacity, a stored power-up activates before the Charger resets. This means the special modifiers are not necessarily applied immediately after appearing, giving the flight another moving part beyond simply adding or multiplying the current value.

Power-Ups

Four different power-ups can alter the objects ahead of the aircraft. The Necromancer changes one rocket into either a Number Node or Multiplier Node. The Payer increases the closest applicable value or multiplier node, while the Sniper doubles one of these nearby nodes. The Collector takes the closest Number or Multiplier Node and immediately adds its effect to the plane’s collected value.

These modifiers give Money Plane more going on than the standard rise-and-crash format commonly associated with crash-style online casinos games, although the outcome of the flight itself remains automatic once the round begins.

Frequent Flyer

Frequent Flyer is a long-term collection mechanic tied to the five game levels. Number Nodes, Multiplier Nodes and power-ups all contribute towards the relevant stage total.

Level 1 requires 1,000 collected objects, followed by 2,000 at Level 2, 3,000 at Level 3, 4,000 at Level 4 and 5,000 at Level 5. Completing the target unlocks a Golden Edition of the corresponding plane. This is cosmetic only; choosing the standard or golden aircraft does not change the game mechanics or potential payouts.

Spin Mechanics

There is no reel spin in the usual sense. A round starts when the aircraft launches from a train with a collected value of 1x and begins moving through the chosen course. The trajectory can bring it into contact with positive nodes, multiplier nodes, bombs and power-ups.

The five levels act as difficulty and potential settings. Level 1 has the lowest maximum at 250x, while Level 5 raises that ceiling to 10,000x. Changing level also changes the surrounding Money Train-inspired environment, so the progression has a visual component as well as a mathematical one.

Unlike conventional crash games, there is no manual cash-out decision. Once a run starts, the outcome plays through automatically. Reaching the train awards the collected potential value; crashing before completing the route means the accumulated amount is not paid.

Similar Slots

The closest comparisons come from games that share either Money Plane’s aircraft-based format or the same Relax Gaming universe rather than simply using similar maths.

  • Money Train 2: A more than obvious neighbour, centring the entire game around a train and an escalating potential return, although its manual cash-out structure makes the experience considerably different.
  • Money Train: The original that started it all, it has the strongest visual connection, particularly with Money Plane’s highest-level off-world setting and its continuation of the series’ industrial aesthetic.
  • Money Train 4: This sequel from Relax Gaming is another natural comparison for the Western-meets-machinery presentation that appears across Money Plane’s earlier stages.

Heart Bingo’s Opinion

Money Plane is one of those games where the absence of reels does more than provide a talking point. The entire rhythm changes when the player launches the aircraft and then simply watches the route unfold. We found that lack of a cash-out button makes the experience less tense than classic crash games, although there is still plenty of room for irritation when a healthy multiplier ends in a heap beside the landing train.

The five modes are the strongest part of the design. They create a clear progression in both scenery and potential, while the power-ups give the journey enough interference to stop it feeling like a decorative coin toss.

We also like the way Relax Gaming has connected the game to the Money Train series without simply transplanting another set of reels into the same universe. It will probably divide opinion precisely because it behaves so differently from a normal slot, but that difference is also the main reason Money Plane is memorable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Money Plane launches an aircraft through a course containing Number Nodes, Multiplier Nodes, bombs and power-ups. The collected potential value is awarded only if the aircraft successfully reaches the train at the end of the run.

While focusing on a plane instead of a train, Money Plane draws from Relax Gaming’s Money Train franchise and its animated character.

Money Plane includes Necromancer, Payer, Sniper and Collector power-ups, which can transform, increase, double or collect Number and Multiplier Nodes once activated through the Charger.
