Wheel of the Gods 

Three or more Pyramid Scatters send us to the Wheel of the Gods before free spins begin. The wheel determines how many spins our feature receives, with possible results ranging from 3 to 20. 

Available outcomes include 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15 and 20 free spins. The wheel returns later if Pyramid Spins activate, though those results follow a different range. 

Free Spins and Multipliers 

Every free spin receives a randomly assigned multiplier. Possible values are 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x or 10x, with the selected number applying to potential payouts from that spin. 

Pyramid Scatters become Wild Scatters during the round, so they can substitute within ordinary line combinations as well as contribute towards Pyramid Spins. This gives our Scatters a second job once the feature has begun, presumably because ancient Egyptian labour laws were fairly flexible. 

Pyramid Spins 

Two Wild Scatters appearing on the same free spin activate Pyramid Spins. The Wheel of the Gods determines between 3 and 8 Pyramid Spins, and every one retains the multiplier attached to the free spin that triggered them. 

Three or more Wild Scatters make the feature stronger by doubling the values displayed on the Pyramid Spins wheel. Pyramid Spins can also trigger another Pyramid Spins sequence under the same rules. 

Once a Pyramid Spins sequence finishes, any unused spins from the original free spins round continue.

Our main grid contains five reels, three rows and 30 fixed paylines. Matching symbols must appear on adjacent reels from left to right, starting with reel 1, to create regular potential line payouts. 

Most regular symbols require at least three matching icons. The Egyptian character symbols follow the same basic left to right structure, while the Pyramid Scatter pays from any position.

Pyramid Spins are the strongest touch, especially when they preserve a larger multiplier and temporarily create a bonus within the bonus. 

Our main criticism is that regular spins don’t have much to distract us while we wait for the Scatters. A smaller base game mechanic could have made the journey towards the wheel more distinctive. Still, readers who prefer traditional Egyptian slots with uncomplicated paylines and one clearly defined feature should find the structure easy to follow. The pyramids aren’t reinvented, but at least nobody has added another cash pot to them.
