Gates of Olympus 1000 brings Zeus back to the same 6x5 grid used in the original Gates of Olympus.
The setup will feel familiar to anyone who has played the first game. Gems and golden artefacts fall onto the board, eight or more matching symbols form a win, and successful combinations disappear to make room for another drop.
The biggest change sits inside the multiplier orbs.
The original Gates of Olympus offers individual multipliers of up to 500x. Gates of Olympus 1000 doubles that limit to 1,000x and raises the overall maximum win from 5,000x to 15,000x the stake.
Pragmatic Play released the sequel on 14 December 2023. It keeps the original game’s Pay Anywhere system, Tumble feature and 15-spin bonus rather than introducing a completely new format.
Open Gates of Olympus 1000 at Heart Bingo and choose one of the stakes displayed inside the game.
The board contains six reels and five rows. It does not use paylines, and matching symbols do not need to touch one another.
A win forms when at least eight identical symbols appear anywhere on the grid during the same result.
For example, eight crowns can sit in different columns and rows. As long as the required number appears, the game counts them as one matching group.
The basic round works like this:
This is often described as Scatter Pays or Pay Anywhere. It is not a cluster system because the symbols do not need to connect horizontally or vertically.
The regular symbol set contains five coloured gems and four golden objects.
Blue, green, yellow, purple and red gems make up the lower side of the paytable. The golden goblet, ring, hourglass and crown carry the higher standard values.
The crown is the highest-paying regular symbol. Landing 12 or more crowns during the same result awards 50x the stake before any qualifying multiplier symbols apply.
Two special symbols control the game’s main features.
Zeus appears on the Scatter symbol.
Four or more Scatters during a base-game spin open the Free Spins feature. Unlike the regular symbols, Scatters do not need a minimum group of eight.
Multiplier orbs can appear during base-game spins, Tumbles and Free Spins.
Each orb carries a randomly selected value between 2x and 1,000x. When several qualifying orbs appear during one Tumble sequence, the game adds their values together before applying the combined multiplier to the win.
Gates of Olympus 1000 does not have a Wild symbol.
Every winning combination starts a Tumble.
The symbols that created the win disappear from the grid. Symbols above those positions fall down, while new ones enter from the top.
The game then checks the refreshed board.
When another set of eight or more matching symbols appears, the second win joins the same paid spin. Those symbols disappear as well, creating another Tumble.
This process can continue several times, but it stops as soon as a new board fails to form another win.
A Tumble does not automatically increase a multiplier. Multiplier values only come from the special orbs that land on the grid. The game does not reward a larger multiplier simply because several consecutive wins occurred.
That is an important difference from slots where every cascade moves a multiplier from 1x to 2x, 3x and beyond. Gates of Olympus 1000 relies on randomly generated orbs instead.
A multiplier orb does not create a payout on its own.
It needs to appear as part of a spin that also produces a qualifying symbol win. When that happens, the game waits until the Tumble sequence has finished, adds the relevant multiplier values together and applies the combined figure to the win.
Suppose a sequence contains a 25x orb and a 100x orb. Their values combine to make 125x.
The multipliers do not multiply each other. A 25x orb and a 100x orb do not become 2,500x.
In the base game, the values only belong to that particular Tumble sequence. They reset before the next paid spin.
Zeus may also strike the grid and add multiplier symbols during the base game or Free Spins. The values still follow the same addition rule.
Four or more Zeus Scatters during the same base-game spin award 15 Free Spins.
The 6x5 grid, Pay Anywhere wins and Tumble feature remain in place. The major difference is what happens to multiplier symbols.
During the base game, the combined multiplier disappears after the Tumble sequence ends. During Free Spins, qualifying multiplier orbs join a running total that remains available across the feature.
Whenever a new multiplier lands on a winning Free Spin or Tumble, the game adds its value to that total. The updated total then applies to the qualifying win.
A simple example:
A previous spin has built the running total to 20x. A later winning spin produces another 30x orb. The running total moves to 50x, and the game uses that updated value for the qualifying win.
The new 30x orb is not applied separately before the 50x running total. It becomes part of the total.
Landing at least three Zeus Scatters during Free Spins awards five extra spins. Pragmatic Play’s public description does not state an unlimited retrigger count, so the page should not make that claim unless the live Heart Bingo rules confirm it.
Gates of Olympus 1000 has a maximum win of 15,000x the stake.
Once the game reaches that amount, the current round ends according to Pragmatic Play’s maximum-win rule.
The maximum does not come from one guaranteed feature or fixed jackpot. It represents the top combined result allowed from symbol wins, Tumbles and multiplier values.
The 15,000x limit is three times the 5,000x maximum found in the original Gates of Olympus.
The original Gates of Olympus offers the closest comparison. It uses the same grid and bonus structure but limits individual multiplier symbols to 500x and the overall maximum win to 5,000x.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter keeps the Olympus setting while introducing special Scatters and a 50,000x maximum win.
Players looking for a seasonal version can also try Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000, which keeps the Zeus-led format but changes the artwork and symbol values for its festive edition.
Gates of Olympus 1000 is easy to understand once the incorrect “cluster pays” description has gone.
Eight matching symbols can land anywhere. A win clears those symbols from the grid. Multiplier orbs add together, while four Zeus Scatters open 15 Free Spins.
The bonus carries its running multiplier forward, but the reels still decide whether a new orb and a qualifying win arrive together.
Check the current game rules before playing and choose a stake that fits the spending limit set for the session. Every spin and Tumble uses a random result.
