We still spend bonus spins waiting for the fisherman to meet a valuable school of fish. Random hooks, dynamite and a bazooka can assist, which seems like rather excessive equipment for a quiet afternoon by the water. 

We return beneath the water for another round of fishing, surrounded by bubbles, rocks and the familiar blue background used across much of the Big Bass series. The three reel grid leaves less room for scenery, though the reduced layout also makes every symbol immediately visible. 

The paytable combines bright card ranks with fishing equipment, dragonflies, floats and fish. Our familiar bearded fisherman appears as the Wild during bonus spins, looking remarkably cheerful for someone carrying the entire collection mechanic on his shoulders. 

Animations provide most of the visual character. Hooks pull symbols into view, dynamite introduces extra fish and the bazooka changes the reel symbols when a collection opportunity needs help. None of this resembles responsible tackle management, but the sequence remains clear and easy to follow. 

Big Bass Bonanza 3 Reeler uses only three symbol combinations, so every value below applies to three matching symbols. The card ranks form the lower end of the table, while the float provides the largest regular potential payout. 

Special Symbols 

• Fisherman Wild: The Fisherman Wild appears only during bonus spins and can land on all three reels. The symbol substitutes for every regular symbol except the Scatter and collects all visible Money Symbol values. 
• Scatter: The jumping fish Scatter can appear on every reel. Three Scatters activate the bonus feature, while their positions on the triggering spin determine whether additional spins are added. 
• Money Symbol: Every regular fish symbol also functions as a Money Symbol. Potential values include 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x, 500x, 1,666x, 2,500x or 5,000x the bet, but a Fisherman Wild must land during bonus spins to collect them. 

Stacked Symbol Feature 

During the base game, a randomly selected paying symbol can appear stacked across reels 1 and 2. Both reels become fully covered by instances of the same symbol. 

A matching symbol on reel 3 can then complete a potential payline result. The feature doesn’t require a separate trigger and can appear during an ordinary base spin. 

Random Hook Trigger 

A hook can appear randomly during the base game and pull 1, 2 or 3 Scatter symbols onto the reels. Three Scatters activate the bonus feature. 

A hook bringing fewer than three Scatters doesn’t guarantee entry to the round. We’re therefore dealing with fishing equipment that occasionally performs half a task and then clocks out. 

Bonus Spins 

Three Scatter symbols activate the feature with 10 bonus spins. Their row positions can increase the starting number. 

Each Scatter on the top row adds 2 spins, while each Scatter on the middle row adds 1. Scatters on the bottom row don’t increase the total. Wild Fishermen and Money Symbols then become the central focus of the round. 

Fisherman Wild Collection 

Whenever a Fisherman Wild lands, we collect every visible Money Symbol value. Several Fishermen can appear on the same spin, and each one collects the full group of fish values separately. 

This collection structure will be familiar from many online slots, although the three reel layout leaves far fewer positions for fish and Fishermen to share. Random modifiers can compensate when one half of the collection is missing. 

Fisherman Collection Trail 

Every Fisherman Wild is also added to a collection trail. Reaching each group of four Fishermen adds 10 bonus spins and improves the multiplier applied to future Money Symbol collections. 

The first four Fishermen activate a 2x collection multiplier. Eight Fishermen raise that value to 3x, while twelve Fishermen bring a 10x multiplier. Once we reach the third retrigger, no further bonus spins can be added through the trail. 

Dynamite Modifier 

Dynamite can activate at the end of a bonus spin when at least one Fisherman Wild is visible but no Money Symbols have landed. Random fish are then placed on the reels, giving the Fisherman something to collect. 

The placement and values remain random. Dynamite therefore repairs the missing fish problem, though we’d question the long term condition of the lake. 

Hook Modifier 

When fish Money Symbols appear without a Fisherman Wild, a hook can pull a Fisherman onto a random reel. The newly added Wild then collects the visible fish values. 

This modifier addresses the opposite half of an incomplete collection. The reels have the prizes, while the hook supplies the character needed to gather them. 

Bazooka Modifier 

The Bazooka can activate when Wild Fishermen appear without any fish. Every non Wild symbol is changed into another symbol type, potentially creating Money Symbols for collection. 

Fisherman Wilds remain fixed while the other positions transform. The result can create an immediate gathering opportunity if fish appear after the change. 

We play Big Bass Bonanza 3 Reeler on a three reel, three row grid with five fixed paylines. Potential wins form from left to right across adjacent reels, beginning with reel 1. 

Since only three reels are present, every regular combination requires three matching symbols. We don’t get cascades, expanding reel heights or cluster wins. Instead, the base game relies on standard paylines, occasional stacked symbols across the first two reels and random hook activity. 

Wild symbols remain absent from regular spins. The Fisherman appears only after the bonus feature begins, where substituting and Money Symbol collection become active.

Shrinking Big Bass Bonanza to three reels sounds like the sort of idea produced when a sequel meeting runs five minutes too long. Still, the reduced grid changes the pace more than we expected. Every Fisherman, fish and Scatter occupies a larger share of the available screen, making collection opportunities easier to read. 

We find the random modifiers more useful here than decorative. With only nine positions, missing either a Wild or a Money Symbol can leave very little happening, so the hook, dynamite and bazooka help reconnect incomplete combinations. The stacked symbol feature also gives the base game a small identity beyond waiting for Scatters. 

We’d place Big Bass Bonanza 3 Reeler with series followers who prefer straightforward paylines and a compact presentation. The game doesn’t reinvent fishing, though at least someone finally removed a few reels rather than adding another hat to the fisherman.
