Some film franchises get a sequel or two. The Goonies appears to have booked a permanent desk at Blueprint Gaming, complete with its own mug and parking space. 

We return to One Eyed Willie’s treasure hunt in The Goonies Megaways Rapid Fire, where variable reel heights sit alongside Cash Collect symbols, an Unlock Trail, random modifiers and two different bonus routes. The familiar characters provide the nostalgia, while the collection mechanics handle most of the actual work. 

We find ourselves back among old maps, hidden caves, scattered doubloons and enough treasure hunting equipment to make health and safety nervous. Blueprint Gaming uses a wooden backdrop inspired by One Eyed Willie’s map, with coins and pirate details placed around the variable grid. 

We see Sloth, Mikey, Mouth and Data among the premium symbols, while the Never Say Die pirate flag sits at the top of the regular paytable. The soundtrack and effects keep the adventurous tone moving without trying to recreate every scene from the film. We’d describe the presentation as familiar rather than surprising, though the licence does enough work to stop the cash collection setup from looking like another bank vault with a different coat of paint. 

We form potential wins by landing matching symbols across consecutive reels, beginning with the leftmost reel. The values below are shown as multiples of the stake and arranged from the lowest paying symbols to the highest. 

Special Symbols 

• Doubloon Wild: We see the Doubloon Wild on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. The symbol substitutes for all regular paying symbols.

• Fortune Wheel Symbol: We unlock the Fortune Wheel further along the progression trail. A collection involving this symbol can add a fixed pot prize or a mystery multiplier result. 
• Bonus Scatters: We trigger the bonus choice with at least three Scatters. Four, five or six Scatters can also add potential payouts of 20x, 100x or 500x the stake. 

Cash Collect and Unlock Trail 

We begin each session with the standard Cash Collect symbol active on reel 6. Among current online slots, this progression system makes the collector more than a single feature because every collected symbol advances an Unlock Trail that gradually adds further mechanics. 

We unlock Dual Collect after two Collect symbols, allowing collectors to appear on reels 1 and 6. Five Collect symbols activate Streak Collect, which holds Cash Symbols while respins continue until the result no longer improves. Eight Collect symbols unlock Boost Collect, increasing visible Cash values before collection.

Hey You Guys Modifiers 

We can receive one of four random Hey You Guys modifiers during an ordinary spin. Hidden Treasure places additional Cash Symbols on the grid, while Bonus Boost adds extra Bonus Scatters. 

Dynamite Blast upgrades selected reel symbols into the highest regular symbol, Wilds or a mixture of both. Cave In removes symbols before fresh ones fall into the empty positions, creating another potential result. We don’t choose the modifier, so the game keeps the treasure map firmly to itself. 

Bonus Trigger 

We activate the bonus round by landing at least three Bonus Scatters. Before Treasure Blitz becomes available, the trigger leads to ten bonus spins. 

Once we’ve completed the Unlock Trail, the trigger presents a choice between ten bonus spins and one Treasure Blitz Super Spin. Four, five or six triggering Scatters can also award potential payouts of 20x, 100x or 500x the stake alongside the selected feature. 

Bonus Spins 

We carry every unlocked Cash Collect mechanic into the ten bonus spins. Whenever a collector lands alongside Cash Symbols, the collector awards the visible cash values. 

We also progress through four collection thresholds during the round. Three collected Collect symbols add five spins and activate a 2x multiplier for cash collections. Six collected symbols add another five spins and raise the multiplier to 3x. Nine collected symbols increase the multiplier to 5x, while twelve collected symbols reach 10x. Each stage adds five more spins. 

Treasure Blitz Super Spins 

We strip the reels down to Cash, Cashpot, Collect and Fortune Wheel Symbols during Treasure Blitz Super Spins. The first spin requires thirteen Cash, Cashpot or Fortune Wheel Symbols to complete the Retrigger Trail and activate Pick a Key. 

We need fourteen qualifying symbols on the first retrigger and fifteen on later retriggers. Pick a Key reveals another Super Spin and a multiplier that can reach 10x. The sequence continues while we complete the trail, with the accumulated potential winnings awarded when the required symbol count is missed.

We form combinations by matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right, starting from reel 1.
