In Argonauts, we’re not dealing with actual epic poetry, more like epic Money symbols and multipliers. Argonauts isn’t trying to rewrite the Iliad, but it does toss a few heroic visuals your way. Expect Greek temples, armour, and characters who clearly work out between reels. The setting? Ambiguously ancient and dimly lit, somewhere between underwater ruins and candlelit Parthenon basement.

Special Symbols 

• Money Symbol: Displays a predefined value from 0.5x to 50x. Land 20 in the base game and you could collect the total of all visible Money values.  
• Wild Collector: Substitutes for all symbols except Money symbols. Also collects the value of adjacent Money symbols vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Can include multipliers up to x2,000, increasing by +1 for each symbol collected. 

Money Symbol Collection 

Money symbols come with their own cash values attached, and they’re not shy about showing off. In the base game, these symbols can land solo, but the drama starts if they land near a Wild Collector. These Collectors hoover up the values of any adjacent Money symbols and, if they’re feeling generous, potentially apply a random multiplier, anywhere from x2 up to an eyebrow-raising x2,000. The more Money symbols collected, the higher the multiplier climbs. It’s all very hero’s-journey-meets-spreadsheet. 

Respin Feature 

Triggering this one takes 6 or more Money symbols in the base game. Once activated, all non-Money symbols vanish, and the board re-spins using only Money symbols, Wild Collectors, and blanks. You get 3 respins to start, with the counter resetting each time a new Money symbol or Collector potentially joins the party. If you manage to fill every spot with Money symbols, they’re all multiplied by 2 before being tallied up.  

Argonauts runs on a 5x4 reel layout with 1,024 ways to win. Payouts are made from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1. Regular spins can occasionally tease a Collector, but the majority of your shot-at-glory moments come from the Respins.

Argonauts is one of those slots that’s clearly had a brainstorming session or two, but didn’t go completely off the rails. The Collector mechanics are tried and tested, the multipliers are beefy, and the visual identity is… familiar. It’s not the Golden Fleece, but it might just make the wishlist for fans of the genre. Could the res-pins be more dramatic? Maybe. Could the theme go deeper? Absolutely. But if you’re into Money symbols and don’t mind a little recycled mythology, it does the job.
