Smokey has acquired a green hat, access to several pots of gold and, apparently, Irish citizenship. Le Prechaun from Hacksaw Gaming brings the familiar raccoon into a 6x5 cluster grid where cascades create Golden Squares and Wilds establish Position Multipliers. Rainbow symbols can transform marked spaces into Coins, Clovers and collection symbols, while three bonus rounds introduce sticky progress and Lucky Charm upgrades. Our only surprise is that Smokey waited this long to investigate leprechaun finances.
Our reels sit in an enchanted forest filled with greenery, golden light and bags that suggest Smokey has been doing rather well for himself. The raccoon stands beside the grid dressed as a leprechaun, while horseshoes, beer mugs, boots and four leaf clover symbols handle the Irish imagery. Card ranks use rounded, colourful lettering rather than traditional playing card designs.
Bright greens and golds dominate the background, while special symbols create most of the visual activity. Winning icons disappear through cascades, Golden Squares remain behind them and Rainbow symbols convert marked positions into Coins, Clovers and collection symbols. Among online slots, Irish folklore is hardly unexplored territory, but our cartoon presentation gives the familiar material a playful identity. Feature animations stay clear even when several Golden Squares, multipliers and collection effects activate together.
Card ranks form the lower paying group, while Irish themed symbols produce the larger potential cluster values. At least five matching symbols must connect horizontally or vertically to qualify.
Every potential cluster payout removes the matching symbols from our grid. Remaining icons fall into the lowest available spaces and replacements enter from above.
Another qualifying cluster starts a new cascade without requiring another paid spin. The sequence continues until the refreshed grid contains no further potential payout. Golden Squares and Position Multipliers created along the way remain relevant until the current sequence finishes.
Whenever a Wild contributes to a potential cluster payout, the position beneath the symbol receives a 2x multiplier. If the same space contributes to another qualifying cluster through a Wild, the value doubles again.
Position Multipliers can reach 100x. Several multiplied positions inside the same cluster multiply with one another rather than being added, giving combinations that cross several marked spaces considerably greater potential.
During the base round, these multipliers remain until the spin and its complete cascade sequence finish.
Every symbol removed through a winning cluster leaves a Golden Square behind. A Rainbow can then activate all marked positions once the cascade sequence has ended.
Golden Squares reveal Coins and other special symbols. Bronze Coins carry potential values from 0.2x to 4x, Silver Coins range from 5x to 10x, Gold Coins range from 20x to 50x and Diamond Coins range from 100x to 500x.
This interaction gives online casinos another variation on persistent reel positions, since the locations created by ordinary clusters can later become part of a separate collection sequence.
A standard Rainbow uses only Golden Squares already created during the current sequence. Every marked space converts into a special symbol once no further cascade remains.
Epic Rainbow takes the process considerably further by changing all 30 positions into Golden Squares. Every space can therefore participate in the subsequent reveal, regardless of whether a potential cluster previously occupied that location.
Once Golden Squares reveal their contents, Clover symbols activate before the final collection.
Green Clovers multiply qualifying values on neighbouring spaces, while Golden Clovers apply their multiplier across the complete reel area. Available values range from 2x to 20x, and more than one Clover can affect the same collection sequence.
Bag of Gold symbols activate after the Clover multipliers have finished. Each Bag gathers qualifying Coin and Bag values from its surrounding 3x3 area and stores the resulting total.
A Position Multiplier beneath the Bag increases the stored value before the sequence moves forward. Pot of Gold symbols can then begin another reveal process, allowing fresh special symbols to appear before everything is finally counted.
Three Scatters activate ten bonus spins. Golden Squares become sticky throughout the feature until a Rainbow triggers them, while Position Multipliers also remain on the grid between spins.
A Lucky Charm Bar collects additional Scatters. Every five collected Scatters move the feature to another level. Level 1 adds five spins and places two Position Multipliers on the grid. Level 2 adds another five spins and introduces three Position Multipliers.
Level 3 adds five more spins and guarantees a Rainbow on every following spin, making the stored Golden Squares considerably easier to activate.
Four triggering Scatters begin ten Clover The Top spins. The core mechanics follow Arc Adventure, including sticky Position Multipliers and Lucky Charm progression.
Golden Squares remain marked even after a Rainbow has activated them. Epic Rainbow activations behave differently, preserving only the positions that had already been marked before the full grid conversion.
Five Scatters activate ten Shamrock 'N' Roll spins. The Lucky Charm Bar begins at Level 3 from the first spin, so Rainbow symbols are guaranteed throughout the feature.
Golden Squares follow the persistent rules from Clover The Top, while Coin symbols receive a minimum potential value of 1x. Position Multipliers remain sticky for the duration of the round.
Le Prechaun uses six reels and five rows with cluster pays rather than fixed paylines. At least five identical symbols must connect horizontally or vertically to create a potential payout.
Diagonal contact alone doesn’t count. Once a qualifying cluster disappears, cascades refill the resulting gaps and can produce another combination from the same paid spin.
The more unusual part comes from the positions themselves. Golden Squares record where winning symbols disappeared, while Wilds create Position Multipliers that can strengthen later clusters using those spaces. Rainbow activations then convert Golden Squares into a separate network of Coin, Clover and collection symbols.
A mix of Irish imagery, persistent positions and cascading mechanics gives us several useful comparisons.
Le Prechaun gives our familiar Irish theme much more mechanical personality than another grid full of clovers normally promises. Golden Squares already provide a clear reason to follow each cascade, while Position Multipliers make previously successful spaces increasingly important. Rainbow reveals then connect those two systems to Coins, Clovers and collection symbols without feeling completely detached from the original cluster result.
Our main reservation is complexity. Bags, Pots, two Clover types, two Rainbow types, sticky positions and three bonus variations create plenty to remember before Smokey has finished adjusting his hat. Still, most mechanics follow a logical sequence once they begin working together. The result feels busier than necessary at times, but rarely dull.
